Job Summary:
The Sr. Business Analyst serves as a functional business expert in finance in the deployment of business process and application solutions for SAP Order to Cash & Supply Chain Heavy projects. This role will drive process and systems changes through a full understanding of the basic relationships between production systems and supported business processes. As a subject matter expert, the analyst’s full understanding of SAP finance will influence overall system design decisions. Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a limited scope project or implementation team activities involving recipe structure design, product costing, plant finance, and period close. Candidate must be capable of process mapping in addition to training delivery and development.
Position Responsibilities:
Ability to partner with cross functional teams to lead and drive change in a matrix organization
Perform all product cost related activity required for Order to Cash & Supply Chain projects
Lead and support end-user integration and stabilization activities to ensure a seamless transition to new system and processes with emphasis on product costing, process order management, and period close
Participate in the design, development, and execution of functional, integration, regression and end user acceptance test plans
Identify and recommend streamlined processes to reduce non-value added work
Evaluate and design process improvements to address end-user and other project team members system knowledge and adoption of both process and tools
Provide master data support including analyzing master data to ensure accuracy, building data to support training and implementation and other analytics as necessary
Identify operational readiness and develop action plans to mitigate risk
Train end-users and other project team members on new or enhanced business processes and systems. Ability to train and relate to end-users at various skill levels and positions is essential
Mentor and develop other team members in all aspects of the project
Partner with the project’s change management team by providing feedback and influencing end-user behavior. May serve as a site change manager
Position Qualifications:
Education: Four year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related fields.
MBA and/or certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA, etc.) in field of experience a plus.
Business Knowledge: 5+ years total experience in plant finance and experience across more than one of the following areas:
Supply Chain
Plant Operations
Product Costing/Accounting
Procurement (direct and indirect)
Supply Planning
Project Experience:
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional business process and business systems, including ability to navigate within a matrix organization
Technical & Other Knowledge:
SAP knowledge required
Cost Accounting knowledge is required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Access preferred
Travel: up to 75% travel required for design, training, implementation, & stabilization activities at remote locations.
