ManTech is seeking a candidate to become a part of a diverse team that provides support to the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) value-based purchasing programs administered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The team provides the full lifecycle development and support necessary to consolidate the following three existing legacy applications into a single redesigned application called ESRD Quality Reporting System.

• The Consolidated Renal Operations in a Web-Enabled Network (CROWNWeb)
• The Renal Management Information System (REMIS)
• The ESRD Quality Incentive Payment (QIP) System

The Data Engineer is an accomplished technical leader, proactive customer-focused advocate, a team player with substantial software engineering experience, preferably with some experience within the healthcare industry. The Data Engineer must have hands-on experience with enterprise level software development, integration and implementation. The ideal candidate will have an advanced understanding of Java, JEE platform, REST, advanced data analysis and SQL/data modelling. The ideal candidate will have a basic understand of Spark and big data concepts. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to evaluate cutting edge technologies and overcome technical challenges in a fast paced environment. The Data Engineer will play a key role of migrating three enterprise applications into a consolidated application which leverages DevOps, cloud computing, and data lake / big data technologies.

General Responsibilities:
• Design, code, and implement next-generation data analytics application using software engineering best practices in the latest technologies
Graph Database (Neo4j, Neptune)
Apache Spark
Netflix OSS stack (Eureka, Zuul, etc)
Spring Framework (Boot, Cloud, Security, Data)
DevOps (Jenkins Pipelines, Docker, Groovy, Ansible)
• Provide software expertise in these areas: Java application integration, java enterprise services, microservice architecture, data analysis, or Spark
• Review and evaluate data analytics application performance, risk and financial analysis feasibility studies
• Investigate and repair application defects regardless of component including platform, business logic, data process logic, or database (SQL and data modeling).
• All other duties as assigned or directed

• Bachelors of Science (or higher) in computer science or related field
• 6+ years of systems/application analysis & design experience
• 4+ years of experience Java application development experience
• 2+ years of combined experience SOA/Microservice architecture/REST integration
• 1+ years of combined experience with Apache Spark

Technical Skills
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, RDS) including SQL, stored procedures, data modeling
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, complex SQL tuning, and data warehouse best practices
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands especially in processing data files
• Preferred experience with ATTD and associated technologies (Fitnesse, DBSlim, Junit)
• Preferred experience with delivering code using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) best practices and DevOps
• Preferred experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Preferred experience with Big Data platforms (Cloudera)
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship
