Job Description:

Great opportunity for a Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer to become a key part of a team in a fast pace material processing environment located at Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) Material Consolidation Point (MCP) in Nashua, NH.


You will represent the customer’s best interests, assuring product and process quality and effectiveness. As a Quality Engineer, you will be the Mission Assurance interface and will drive overall quality performance including continuous improvement and implementation of lean methodologies. You will help to ensure programs meet customer objectives for Mission Assurance, working closely with other functions, to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communication skills. You will work in a results based culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement.



You will be required to problem-solve working with a team, collaborating closely with quality, operations, supply chain, and engineering personnel to ensure process understanding, capability, and quality control. Your work will involve planning, coordination, facilitation, analysis, coordination and influencing to achieve continuous improvement and successful program execution, focusing on Quality. You will provide Quality Sciences subject matter expertise for work product and process compliance to meet tactical and strategic objectives. You will work at various levels of the organization to drive root cause and corrective action utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.



The scope of your responsibilities will include process planning, inspection methodology, Non-Conforming Material Control, issue resolution and product acceptance. In addition, you’ll be involved with defect prevention through data analysis and effective execution of Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation. You will have regular interface with the internal and external (DCMA) customer.

Required Skills:

Requires a related university degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience with process documentation analysis and improvement that directly impacts efficiency or excellence
  • Experience with quality methods and tools, nonconforming material, root cause and corrective action, verification and validation processes, and testing mechanisms.
  • Experience developing solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
  • Work well under pressure; meet deadlines; be a self-starter; multi-task
  • Effectively communicate and influence both orally and written with all levels with an organization·Work within a matrix structure.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project and Outlook)
Desired Skills:
  • Manufacturing Process/Production Floor Experience

    ·Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and Six Sigma

    ·Experience with configuration management

    ·Ability to lift and carry 25+ lbs.

    ·Ability to read prints and drawings
Required Education (including Major):
  • Requires a related university degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
