Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has a position open for a Sr. Facilities Engineer II - Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction and infrastructure projects, facilities equipment repairs and upgrade projects (large and small) throughout the
El Segundo campus.

This position will report to the PM Manager and work with Facilities Maintenance and Facilities IPTL teams to develop and execute construction and infrastructure and projects from start to completion.

Represent the Facilities organization as the prime technical contact who will interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters pertaining to project execution often requiring coordination between organizations.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for Construction Project Management
  • Define customer requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, equipment installation and repairs, preparation and other related costs
  • Coordinates with architectural and engineering to develop design criteria and detailed construction drawings
  • Provide input to the design process to mitigate possible problems during construction and to facilitate safe, effective and simple maintenance of equipment for the life cycle of the project
  • Ensures all installation, repairs or construction are fully commissioned and working properly before turn over to maintenance operations or customers.
  • Direct inspection of construction and installation progress conformance to established drawings, specifications
  • Budget development, project estimating and planning, developing project scope of work and design documentation, supporting the procurement process
  • Large campus 5kv and 12kv electrical system upgrades
  • Installation of large clean rooms
  • May be required to support Regional PM activities
  • Manages simple to complex HVAC upgrades including complex building automation systems
  • Conduct meeting with internal customers, developing continuous improvement projects, developing partnerships with key suppliers and contractors, and project management
  • Occasional technical support to 24 hr facilities site maintenance services
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 6 + years of direct experience in supporting facility operations and Construction Project Management
  • Experience with large multi-site and campus type facilities
  • Analytical skills and technical experience implementing and optimizing building management and control systems
  • Experience developing facility requirements and executing cost and schedule estimates in conjunction with sub contract partners and suppliers
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate with Leadership, Suppliers, General Contractors, and internal customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Project
  • Travel occasionally to other plant sites to perform assessment of major electrical systems
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities, Space Planning, Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering or related discipline
