Expediter – Procurement

Buys building materials and ensures that the correct materials arrive at the job site according to scheduled delivery through the production cycle. Monitor client changes and informs management of supply status. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2

years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Maintain frequent communication with suppliers, from order placement to receipt, to ensure quality and schedules are met

Communicate risks and changes of supplier orders with Capital Project Team

Reconcile Bill of Materials (BOMs)and other delivery documentation to planned orders and issued Purchase Orders (POs)

Review vendor PO promise dates and receipt of

Maintain and reports metrics on supplier performance and other assigned objectives

Maintains good relations with supplier personnel

Follow up purchases as necessary via email or phone to expedite orders, change amounts, materials, specifications, etc.

Ensure that the correct materials arrive at the job site according to scheduled delivery

Expedite specifications for purchase from engineering per project schedule

Expedite submittals from suppliers (both approval docs and finals)

Keep accurate and organized electronic files for each PO

Prepare and Issue procurement status report

Communicate high priority information as required

Daily/regular contacts via phone and email with project team, supplier, client.

Qualifications:

Requirements/Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to work well in a team environment

Ability to provide support to several clients on a daily basis

Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2

years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
