Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualified candidates must have good working knowledge of hardware development tools and processes
Strong interest in digital circuits and hardware design
Successful completion of circuit theory, advanced mathematics and digital design courses
Strong interpersonal communication skills and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative in finding innovative solutions, achieving goals, and solving problems with minimal supervision.

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking an Entry-level Hardware Engineer to join us in our Scottsdale, Arizona location. This is a great opportunity to develop state of the art secure communications products. This position offers career growth potential. This hardware and systems development position is in a diverse and growing business area with opportunities to work on several technology including space and avionics encryption systems, secure voice communications and trusted environments for computing devices. Candidates will be developing embedded security systems for government customers utilizing Type 1 High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) and other encryption/decryption standards. He/She will work in a cross-functional team environment and will be involved in all phases of the development process including requirements analysis, design, simulation, modeling, verification, integration, test and design support activities.
