Job Description:
IDS Execution Operations (XOPS) has a growth opportunity for a 1st shift Production Supervisor in the SAWs Module Fabrication (SAWs MFAB), value stream. This position has overall responsibility for manufacturing operation team(s) in a fast paced, multi-shift, dynamic environment that produces a multitude of microelectronic module assemblies using cutting edge technologies incorporating gallium nitride into military radars and missiles. In this position, you will ensure that all products meet contractual quality, cost, and schedule requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsible for the effective execution of the manufacturing operations strategy, using the available control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress, identify root causes of failure modes, assess production capacity, resolve quality and staffing issues and develop/implement corrective action plans.

In addition to the above, responsibilities include:

· Schedule and cost accountability
· Effectively manage day to day assignments for 15-20 represented employees
· Workload planning and forecasting
· Employee training
· Time and attendance tracking
· Safety and or continuous improvement initiatives
· Enforcing company policies and procedures

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of work experience in production / manufacturing / operations or similar environments
  • Must be able to operate with in a class 100k clean room environment
  • Previous leadership and management experience in manufacturing or similar environments
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma or other similar process improvement methodologies
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired Skills:

  • Experience with microelectronic assembly
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing and six sigma principles
  • Previous experience supervising bargaining unit employees
  • Manufacturing experience in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Experience utilizing business systems (SAP, VM) and tools that aid in managing labor, processes, and budgets
  • Self-directed individual
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)

Required Education (including Major):

  • BS/BA in Operations/Manufacturing, Business, Engineering or any major related to the above job description
