    Your Mission: Interested in making the world a safer place?

    Raytheon IDS Mission Assurance organization, located in Andover, Massachusetts, is seeking highly motivated and dynamic interns for a summer 2019 Internship. Combine your technical skills, Global Mindset, and your ability to collaborate and build partnerships to make the world a safer place. Mission Assurance professionals work with our suppliers to insure the requirements of both Raytheon and our customers are met. These internships are targeted to train you for a potential future role working with Raytheon’s Saudi Arabia Industry supply base.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Engage with Raytheon IDS supplier partners to insure technical and quality requirements are understood, translated into process execution, and verified prior to shipment.
    • Support supplier quality hardware acceptance execution.
    • Work with suppliers to determine root cause of defects and implement corrective actions.
    • Work with suppliers to analyze performance trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Attend Six Sigma training, successfully execute a project, and become Six Sigma Specialist qualified
    • Development of a Program and Subcontractor Quality Plan ensuring ongoing quality support and surveillance.
    • Providing support for on-site problem resolution, including monitoring subcontractor's quality performance, and engaging in proactive improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborating with other Raytheon Quality functions and Cross Business Teams to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.
    • On-site quality support and surveillance including performing Supplier Assessments, Purchase Order Flow down Reviews, First Article Inspection acceptance, assuring compliance to Quality Notes and Special Process requirements, in-process inspections and final Raytheon product acceptance
    • Subcontractor performance review, including an independent assessment of progress-to-date, cost and schedule performance, and work product quality

    What we are looking for: Basic Qualifications

    The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an emphasis in Engineering, Quality / Reliability, Operations Management, Supply Chain / Logistics.
    • Completed, at minimum, 60 hours of college credit towards their degree as of the summer 2019.
    • Proficient in Arabic and English (both written and oral); must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management via email, telephone, and in person.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office toolset (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
