Position Title:

Sr. Tax Manager

Position Description:

KBR is seeking a Sr. Tax Manager

to initiate, review and manage the federal, state and local tax reports, returns, and other information connected to taxes.


Sr. Tax Manager

will assist with federal audits as needed and coordinate all state and local tax audits ensuring that we satisfy all audit requests timely.


Sr. Tax Manager

will also provide assistance to other functional areas of the tax department as needed.

This will include the assistance with quarterly provisions, international tax compliance as it relates to the federal consolidated return and assistance with financial accounting for income taxes.

Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team.

Special projects as assigned and

functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Establishing priorities for the completion of assigned tasks

Interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices

Direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance and development to less experienced team members

Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and tax statutes to reduce tax liability

Proposing other tax treatments to ease or minimize tax burden



Bachelor degree required; accounting/finance preferred; 10

years of experience

CPA required

Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion (HFM), OneSource Income Tax (OIT) and Provision (OTP) preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
