We are looking for an Engineer with experience in DoD acquisition spanning the system development life cycle to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory/Futures Directorate. The candidate will support identification of future challenges and opportunities as well as development of warfighting concepts in order to inform the combat development process to meet the challenges of the future operating environment in Quantico, VA.

This position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance.


  • Performs a variety of complex project tasks applied to specialized technology problems.
  • Tasks involve integrating electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work flow, organization, and planning.
  • Directs and assists system engineers in the application of system engineering principles to the solution of secure systems design problems.
  • Expert knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and other security and network operations and monitoring, vulnerability analysis, PKI, data encryption, key management, data warehousing, and data mining capabilities.

Mandatory Required Skills:
• Familiarity with DoD acquisitions and development of defense systems
• Ability to conduct detailed technical analysis
• Exceptional technical writing skills
• Project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Current DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience:
12 years of experience in the field or in a related area; experience analyzing requirements, capabilities gaps, and emerging/pacing threats; identifying emerging capabilities, enhancements, and needs for improving/modernizing Marine Corps operational environment preferred.
