Job Description

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Circuit Card Assembly Operations (CCA) has an opportunity for a Plan Production Control Specialist to manage material and production flow in our fast-paced Surface Mount Technology manufacturing environment. The individual will work closely with Integrated Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations teams and be responsible for planning, organizing, and execution to the production schedule. This role is integral to the success of our business as it supports all programs and contracts built in the Andover CCA Factory.

This role requires daily interaction with other cross-business teams within CCA to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include: technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, operations, and finance. Managing inventory, data integrity, delivery schedule and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities are critical performance criteria for this position.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning system to ensure alignment between the material position, production capability, and schedule
  • Work with Integrated Supply chain to drive improvements in the material supply position to manufacturing
  • Maintain detailed status of material availability, work in progress, and execution to program schedule
  • Work with Manufacturing Operations to identify constraints, manage material issues, and ensure execution to the program schedules
  • Prepare work orders, purchase requests, and delivery paperwork to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of material within the plant and external inventory vendors to support the production line

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Production Control or other operations experience in a manufacturing environment
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired Skills:

  • Experience with MRP, Shop Floor Management, Inventory control, and/or other related systems
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and business communication skills
  • Proven self-starter with ability to motivate and influence across functional groups and interface at all levels of organization
  • Works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset, and proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated Lean Experience
  • Experience with MS Office
Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a major related to the various required and desired skills and general job responsibilities or equivalent education and experience
