Opportunity for a Sr. Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on hardware quality experience to become a key part of Operations Quality in a busy and growing Manufacturing Facility. Here at Raytheon, our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.

As a Sr. Hardware Quality Engineer (Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer I), you’re a key member of the production value stream. The scope of your responsibilities will include process planning, inspection and test methodology, Non-Conforming Material Control, issue resolution and product acceptance. In addition, you’ll be involved with defect prevention through data analysis and effective execution of Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation.

In this high visibility role, you’ll also be a key member of cross-functional teams, bringing your Quality Science skills and expertise to drive issue resolution and process improvement. In addition, you’ll have regular interface with internal (DCMA) and external (DoD/MDA) customers. This position also includes production floor support to address process and supplier issues at all levels.

This role will require obtaining a secret clearance.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in Operations and/or Quality Experience with analytical skills in root-cause analysis and/or corrective/preventive actions.
  • Manufacturing Process/Production Floor Support Experience
  • Customer Interface experience

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to build effective relationships through partnering and collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with quality systems, MDA Assurance Provisions, ISO/AS 9100, quality concepts and general understanding of aerospace/defense regulations and standards
  • Ability to interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing requirements on technical drawings.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ), Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean Certification
  • Experience preparing and presenting product utilizing Government DD-250 and DD-1149
  • Manufacturing Process Generation
  • Workmanship/Inspection Standard Knowledge
  • International Experience and/or bilingual
  • Advanced Quality Science tool experience, e.g., SPC, Sampling, PFMEA Knowledge of MRP tools (e.g., SAP)

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a Technical Discipline
