Machine Operator - Incinerator

Under direct supervision,

ensures all incinerators are operated in an efficient and compliant manner, that all waste containers are unloaded from vehicles. Observe and performs all duties in compliance with all applicable safety rules including wearing required PPE. Observe all environmental compliance policies and procedures.

Ensure the incinerator waste feed rate and blending is performed properly to maintain correct incinerator temperatures and to maximize throughput. Monitor incinerator systems (where applicable), ash removal system, ash quality, and Air Pollution Control system parameters to include but not limited to: temperatures, absorber flow rate, reagent feed rates, differential pressures and other system parameters to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations are maintained. Report any issues identified to shift Lead. Complete all necessary logging and reporting documents accurately and file according to procedure. Perform housekeeping assignments and all other duties as required or requested including various clean up activities in and around trash pads. Ensure work area is clean and free of debris; clean up all spills immediately in and around incinerator site and trash pad. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Two year related experience or training or combination of experience and training, demonstrating strong communication skills.

Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations. Demonstrates the ability to operate frontend loader, skid steer and rough terrain forklift.

Additional Comments/Personnel Recommendation:

Must have a valid driver’s license

Preferred experienced incinerator operator

·

Experienced with operating a front end loader and all terrain forklift to work at the incinerator site

Additional requirements:

Must be fluent in English

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
