General Dynamics IT is looking for a senior level Technical Editor to join our Cloud Engineering and Operations team. We are an Amazon Managed Service Partner (MSP) providing full-scope cloud engineering, operations, and development services to multiple government and commercial customers. We are looking for someone who writes and edits technical documents and has experience in building professional PowerPoint presentations and graphics for various operations on the CCS project, along with supervising all technical documents in the project using independent judgement and discretion. In this position you will be responsible for:


  • Editing, researching and compiling technical data for use in various operation and maintenance manuals, training materials, installation guides, and other technical documentation using independent judgement and discretion.
  • Building professional PowerPoint presentations to present technical content to clients and internal teams.
  • Creating graphics and graphical presentations.
  • Obtaining data from review of documentation, drawings, schematics, and reports, interviews with technical staff members, and the study of published material.
  • Preparing written text and coordinates layout and organization of materials according to prepared outlines and specifications.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participating in special projects as required.
  • Coordinating meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
  • Supervising and maintaining all Technical Documents and coordinating the overall content management strategy across all ADOs.


  • 5-8 years of related experience preparing technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research and writing.
  • Expertise in building professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with graphics software such as Visio and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of and ability to uses various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications.
  • Experience in understanding customer requirements, purpose and structure of required documentation, and end user’s level of understanding.
  • Experience with working independently and maintaining a document management strategy for a large scale project.
  • Excellent written and communications skills.


  • Bachelors Degree in English, Journalism or a related discipline.
