Job Description

• The organization is seeking a Deputy IT Audit Lead with the drive and initiative to work on a dynamic, fast-paced IT Audit team.

• The successful candidate will assist the IT Audit Lead to manage a team of audit liaisons who are responsible for the delivery of PBCs, walkthroughs, CAP management, and remediation of findings.


• Manage day- to-day audit support activities, to include review PBCs, attend walkthroughs, review Vulnerability Remediation Plans, or review CAPs when needed

• Work with IT Audit Lead to ensure workload is evenly distributed among team members

• Provide weekly and ad-hoc status reports to IT Audit Lead

• Assist the IT Audit Lead in developing and delivering an audit program and associated training to improve consistency and quality

• Support the IT Audit Lead in the creation of audit management best practices, documentation, tools, and ways to drive audit remediation efforts

• Escalate issues to the IT Audit Lead


Basic Qualifications

5+ years experience audit experience is required

Bachelor's Degree is required. 

Strong leadership skills managing a diverse team

Strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service

Demonstrated skill running effective meetings with team members and getting buy-in and participation from executive leaders

Must be able to quickly adapt to changing environment and deadlines to provide a consistent level of service

Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives

Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project), MS SharePoint

• One or more professional certification is required - such as Security+, CISSP or CISA

Experience managing direct reports

Understanding of NIST Special Publication including NIST SP 800-53 and other standards

Understanding of FISMA and other audit and security standards

Strong time management and multitasking skills as well as attention to detail

Experience working with multiple high priority tasks simultaneously

Excellent oral and written communications skills, including writing comprehensive reports and white papers

Ability to communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to personnel at all levels of experience and responsibility

Experience as a government contractor

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting audit remediation activities for government agencies

• Experience managing and working with diverse IT backgrounds

Clearance Requirement:

• US Citizen that has the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
