Come join our growing team! ManTech is seeking a dynamic and organized technical Program Manager to develop and cultivate ManTech’s technical and administrative staff on a challenging program supporting the nation’s most critical information systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role, the Program Manager will:

  • Work closely with the customer, technical leads, and technical program staff to meet contract and program staffing and performance needs.
  • Be responsible as a primary point of contact with the customer for all matters regarding the program.
  • Be responsible for service delivery of complex technology operations and maintenance efforts across multiple critical government systems.
  • Formulate and enforce work and quality standards.
  • Review work in progress.
  • Manage timely delivery of information and products requested by the customer, both scheduled and ad- hoc.
  • Deliver progress and status reports.
  • Ensure that the IT operations adheres to applicable security policies and procedures.
  • Take responsibility for and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Coordinate on-site operational services.
  • Act as the resource manager for a technical staff (both ManTech employees and subcontractors).
  • Be responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of program technical staff, including the management of individuals in the clearance pipeline.
  • Act as the primary liaison with ManTech’s recruiting team to identify, screen, interview, and hire technical staff in support of the program.
  • Provide direct performance management and oversight of program technical staff, to include coaching and employee development and regular reviews.
  • Provide oversight and approval of employee time reporting and charging, and ensure compliance with ManTech time reporting policies.
  • Provide direct support to the Program Manager for program reporting, deliverables, and staff management.

Qualifications & Education/Certification Requirements

  • Current PMI PMP or PgMP certification required
  • At least 10 years of experience managing complex, enterprise IT projects for or supporting U.S. Government agencies.
  • BS Degree in related field is desired.
  • Managerial experience providing technical advice, organizing, planning, directing and managing staff to ensure goals and objectives are achieved is required.
  • Experience with the direct management and supervision of large organizations (more than 50 employees) in a variety of labor categories and skills is required.
  • Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and problem solving is required.
  • Knowledge of system architectures, networks, and operations is required.
