Job Description:
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Circuit Card Assembly Operations (CCA) has an opportunity for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to manage approximately 25 represented employees in our fast-paced Surface Mount Technology manufacturing environment. In this role, you will also ensure that assembled hardware and products meet contractual, quality, cost and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production.

This role requires daily interaction with other cross-business teams within CCA to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include: technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, and finance. Maintaining cost, quality, delivery, safety, housekeeping, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities are critical performance criteria for this position.

In addition to the above, responsibilities include the enforcement of company policies and procedures, time and attendance tracking, area layout and flow management, capital identification and support of overhead expenses.



NOTE: This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skill, experience and responsibility requirement for the position.

Basic Qualifications and Required Education


  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a production / manufacturing / operations or similar environment
  • Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, operations or similar environment with knowledge of planning/scheduling and operations
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma concepts or similar process improvement methodologies
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


    Desired Qualifications

    ·Experience utilizing Shop Floor Control Systems/shop operations, and/or Database system (i.e. ERP system)

    ·Experience utilizing business systems and tools that aid in manufacturing and financial management

    ·Excellent communication (written and verbal) and solid interpersonal skills; uses appropriate levels of energy to create enthusiasm

    ·Previous experience working with bargaining unit employees

    ·Manufacturing experience in the aerospace/defense industry

    Required Education


    Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. (Two years related work experience can substitute for one year of education)
