This is an opportunity to join the Total Ship Integration Systems (TSIS) Team as a Senior Financial Analyst on the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Service (GPNTS) program in San Diego, CA.

The GPNTS program builds Navigation sensor and data fusion systems for U.S. Navy ships as well as potential U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) platforms. GPNTS receives, processes, and distributes three dimensional position, velocity, acceleration, attitude, time and frequency in the formats required by shipboard user systems.

Responsibilities include analysis of cost and schedule performance, monthly Earned Value reporting including preparation of the Integration Program Management Report (IPMR), development of quarterly EACs, and detailed financial analysis to help define and understand the monthly variances to Budget Baseline and EAC positions. Responsibilities also include establishing initial baseline for new awards, bookings/backlog oversight and financial planning & analysis.

The ideal candidate will work independently and on several different program issues concurrently and should be dedicated to continued process improvements and the building of efficiencies into all operational aspects of the organization. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with the Program Office, FP&A, Lead Engineers, Cost Account Managers and other cross functional organizations. The Lead will also interact with multiple levels of management and customer counterparts.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of relevant professional working experience
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts and requirements
  • Strong computing skills with MS Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Experience with SAP APEX and Business Warehouse (BW), Winshuttle, and forecasting tools
  • Proven ability working independently and with higher levels of management
