Job Description
- Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
- Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation. Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal.
- The Candidate will work on mechanical engineering tasks for a variety of system integration projects.
- The candidate will work as a member of a design team to take military projects from concept to production.
- Tasking includes but not limited to: research, specification, and document engineering drawings, plans, and other related documents and materials.
- The individual will be called on to support program deliverables, evaluations and system assessments.
- Will perform modeling of components and assemblies as part of design, testing, and prototype fabrication.
- Develops static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages.
- Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
- Work will be performed with minimal supervision, but with regular reviews of work products by customer, project leads and senior engineers.

Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelors in ME and related experience
- Excellent communication skills; inter-personal; organizational and detail-oriented
- Position will require the ability to acquire and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
- Design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment, and packages.
- Experience with Microsoft- based applications such as Word, Excel, and Access, using Windows operating systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written.
- Work well in a quick response, customer focused environment.

Desired:
- A focus on the understanding of Robust Design and Quality Engineering is highly desired.
- Proficient with CAD (Solid Edge, Solid Works, or Creo) desired.
- Ability to conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on designs (CAD models) using programs such ANSYS or FEMAP desired.
- Prior military systems and platform integration a plus.
- Design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment, and packages.
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-31000A and ASME Y14.100 and the interpretation of drawing standard
