The Field Repair Technician is responsible for sales of repair product, troubleshooting and repairing the devices that come into the retail repair center.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales of repair related services in the retail storefront
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced repair center environment
  • Demonstrate strong follow up abilities with attention to detail
  • Perform most repairs on cellular phones
  • Responsible for inventory control, forecasting and ordering parts
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required service
  • Interact with customers and explain the work that is needed or was performed
  • Responsible for handling customer service issues
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Review service request, prioritize and make adjustments as necessary
  • Use a variety of tools to make the necessary repairs
  • Immediately report faulty testing equipment
  • Resolve product or service problems by determining the root cause of the problem and providing the best solution • Work independently in a retail storefront
  • Responsible for maintaining standards of appearance as established by Go Wireless
  • Maintain service level expectations by Quality Control and utilizing checklist(s)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and cell phone repair or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of at least 2 years in a repair center or retail environment or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
