Basic Qualifications
Bachelors of Science (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant job experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking a talented Account Manager to join our team to focus on maintaining and growing GDMS' customer base. The Account Manager is responsible for developing; building and maintaining relationships with existing and newly established channel partners and delivering complete GDMS new product solutions. Must have the ability to communicate at all levels; verbally and written; as well as be able to conduct meetings and presentations.
Generating new leads and prospecting accounts
Using CRM automation tools to track progress and report goals
Coordinating with team members and facilitating collaboration in the workplace.
Develops appropriate solution recommendations to meet customer needs
Responds to requests for proposals or quote
Prepares and presents product information and briefings to customers
Works with other teams within GD-MS CEWS to include, product teams, marketing, finance, and contracts to meet customer needs and support customer requirements
Leads and communicates partner sales strategy within GD-MS CEWS
Frequent contact with all levels across the entire company
Minimum 50% travel
Significant written and verbal communications skills
Ability to think creatively and adapt to change
Expected to meet or exceed all business objectives defined by management
Significant experience and understanding of selling into indirect or through channel partners
Must be able to negotiate and problem-solve.
Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends and best practices.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrable business acumen and a deep understanding of business sales processes
