Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Contracts has an opening for a Manager, Program Contracts in the Naval and Area Mission Defense (NAMD) product line. The successful applicant will be the lead for the Close In Defense Solutions (CIDS) contracts team. The CIDS program primarily includes sole source sales to the U.S Government and Direct Commercial Sales to international customers, to including contracts in the production and sustainment phases of the program. In addition to leading and mentoring the CIDS contracts team, duties include Request for Proposal (RFP) assessment, proposal strategy, contract negotiation, contract management, and ensuring that business deals comply with company policies. The successful applicant will be the primary customer interface for contracting matters and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining both internal and external customer relationships based upon trust and cooperation, while also ensuring compliance with proposal and contract requirements.
Ten (10) years of experience in contract administration, including proposal preparation and contract negotiation
BA/BS in Business, Management, Business Law, Finance, Contracts, Legal Studies, or related discipline; JD or MBA a plus (Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of 2 yrs of experience)
Experience with DoD contracting, including FAR/DFAR familiarity and Research and Development contracting
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements; ability to contribute to negotiation strategy and possess strong negotiation skills
Familiarity with Direct Commercial Sales contracting and terms and conditions
Familiarity with Import and Export requirements, including ITAR, Export Agreements and Licensing
Computer proficiency, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared data bases
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year.
Prior supervisory experience will be considered positively
DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree or MBA
Capable of multi-tasking and handling several assignments of differing complexities and different customers concurrently
Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Focus on responsiveness and follow-through with strong time management and organizational skill
Mentoring and coaching experience
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
