Successful candidate for Senior Mechanical Engineer II will conduct thermal analysis for space flight missions as well as IRAD/CRAD space programs. They will typically perform analysis tasks under minimum supervision of senior analysts and will often be part of a larger design/analysis team. Analysis tasks will typically be for EO/IR or RF hardware designs with analysis tasks for evaluating orbital conditions, sizing heaters, straps, and isolators, and performing STOP analysis. More advanced analysis techniques will be learned as required. Analysis support will be provided through all phase of the program life-cycle, from proposal, to conceptual design/requirements derivation, to PDR/CDR, and build/test/delivery. The Senior Mechanical Engineer II will work to influence the efficiency and suitability of the thermal design and may support internal design reviews.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start
