Basic Qualifications
Associates degree preferred, High school diploma, or equivalent.
Due to the nature of work performed in our facilities US citizenship is required.
Succesful completion of a drug screen and background check is required.

Responsibilities for this Position
Essential duties include but may not be limited to the following:

Operate and maintain metal working machines

Select proper tools to make parts according to drawings and blueprints
3
Work on assembly jibs and fixtures while working within close tolerances as indicated by blueprint specifications

Weld as necessary to complete job assignments
5
Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts
6
Fits and assembles machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques
7
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
8
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or workpiece as guide for subsequent machining
9
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers
10
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media

Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required

Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments

Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly using jibs, fixtures, surface place, surface table, hand tools, and power tools
