Raytheon IIS has a requirement for an Information Technology (IT) Specialist with experience in developing and maintaining information systems to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi-disciplined environment.

The Information Technologist is a member of the team responsible for the local support of the facility’s desktop environment and the factory work environment at the Integrated Support Facility in Pittsfield, MA. Will work with local end users and coordinate with off-site factory software development team and network support to ensure a high quality of service to site.

The IT specialist will be responsible for the following:
User account management, COTS software installation and support
Understanding, and the ability to complete system restore images for computer hardware replacement.
Installing and relocating desktop hardware in factory and office areas.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for information technology as needed by the organization
Develops system requirements for updates to factory applications by working with end users and communicating these requirements to development team.
Subject Matter Expertise on Microsoft Office products, SharePoint to support users with help and assistance.
Having a fundamental knowledge of computer hardware and software and network operations.
Maintains technical knowledge of voice and data networks hardware and software as they relate to the Integrated Support Facility

Required Skills:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain SECRET clearance
  • 6+ years of experience directly related to Windows Desktop support
  • Experience in the following areas: Imaging hardware, Patch Management, Anti-Virus, Symantec, OS Upgrades, computer security and system monitoring and logging
  • Possess knowledge and technical experience in the use of all Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat products.
  • Communication and diplomatic skills a must; significant interaction with all segments of the program and students
  • Ability to take a system approach to a customer's problem.
  • Possess writing, speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
  • Requires the ability to effectively interact with off-site personnel on technical matters including help desk and desktop support to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working in SharePoint to include customizing lists, document libraries and form libraries
  • Experience with creation of SQL queries
  • Experience with administration of MS Server and/or Linux
  • Microsoft Certifications (MCTS, MCITP)
  • Experience with Cisco routers, networking, and Wi-Fi in a business environment
  • Experience with software development
Required Education (including Major):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related work experience OR (12) additional years of experience in lieu of degree. 126970
