Role based in Macquarie Park, Sydney or Canberra
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Contracts and Supply Chain team in Sydney or Canberra. Our team is diversely skilled and responsible for providing support to current and future projects nationally. Under the guidance of our experienced Procurement Team Lead, you will contribute to business performance by offering key advice and solutions to the program leadership team.
Be on the front line! Influence and engage with managers to make the right procurement decision for our business.
Forecast procurement requirements, and implement appropriate procurement actions to support the timely achievement of procurement requirements.
Identify potential sources of supply and engage in source selection activities to identify the appropriate supplier. Initiate and participate in supplier assessment and due diligence activities.
Initiate and manage requests for proposal / quotation and associated tender activities.
Participate in tender evaluation activities and recommends preferred suppliers.
Obtain and analyse quotes from suppliers, including price analysis and review of proposals.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in business, commerce, law or related fields.
Minimum 4 years related experience.
Previous experience in procurement, supply chain or contracts, including the contract administration and supplier management activities.
Demonstrated experience supporting customer requirements and meeting time critical deadlines.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
