The Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.
We are seeking SKC Production Supervisor for our Jacksonville, Florida location.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of employees performing general warehousing duties including receiving, inspecting, locating, storing, Maintaining and disposing of supplies and equipment, to support Material Production Branch on the MPF Program.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of logistic personnel, data entry personnel, supply clerks, forklift operators and warehouse workers who are performing a wide variety of general warehousing and inventory duties to obtain optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Identifies and manages the creation of Parent Child Relationships in accordance with TAV requirements.
Determines sequence and assignment of work on basis of work priority and quantity of inventory/supplies and builds the plan that will be input into Microsoft Project as a deliverable to the customer. Inspects work performed to ensure compliance with established procedures and time schedules.
Coordinates with other supervisors to ascertain compatibility of procedures among various organizations or branches engaged in logistic support activities and to ensure a close integration of operations. Closely coordinate with other sections to ensure that supporting equipment is scheduled in a timely manner to allow the other sections to be successful.
Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Identify, approve and manage all requisitions generated within the section. Conduct Weekly Reconciliation with MMO and Supply departments. Ensures compliance with administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations. Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary actions.
Trains new workers. Recommends changes to procedures as appropriate. Maintains MPF ISO-9015 policies and procedures and ensures on-going compliance with such. Performs other related duties as assigned. Work Closely with customer to resolve issues or defects with equipment and to address concerns for newly fielded equipment and publication.
Eight (5) years of directly related work experience in a logistics operation support environment, including two years of supervisory experience.
AA degree with a major study in logistic engineering, property control/inventory, supply management, accounting or related field. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
Complete the Ground Officer Supply Course or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of logistics systems, inventory management, procurement, item identifications, warehousing, and material handling.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Working knowledge of MPF program.
Working knowledge of EXCEL/ACCESS software and/or Microsoft.
Working knowledge of personal computers and the ability to prepare adhoc reports as required to support branch activities.
Working Knowledge of GCSS-MC
Working Knowledge of Logway
Working knowledge of MDSS II and AIMS.
Familiarity with labor relations - union interaction. Ability
