Our Civil, Structural & Marine Discipline has an opportunity for a Weight Engineer to join their team.
We are looking for a Weight Engineer with experience of weight and COG management in the oil and gas industry.
The successful candidate will preferably be degree qualified with the required related experience gained in a multi disciplines environment in a Supervisory role.
Utilising industry knowledge and benchmarking tools to compile weight and COG estimates.
Effective use of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Word, also good knowledge of databases and design tools (PDMS, 3D Models) essential.
We are looking for someone who is able to communicate effectively at all levels, especially in a multi-discipline project environment, with good potential to develop strong leadership skills.
Roles undertaken will include the following tasks:
General weight report duties including preparing monthly weight reports, checking and processing of discipline input and preparing weight procedures.
Review of equipment weights and liaising with vendors and package engineers.
Witness weighing of equipment, modules and topside facilities.
Co-ordinating and facilitating meetings with KBR management and client to discuss weight reports and weight matters.
Take an active role in weight challenges across the project.
Benchmarking and weight estimating for new projects and studies
