Principal Project Manager – Engineering
Position Description/Job Responsibilities
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
With general autonomy, this position has bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of very large projects. Responsible for managing all phases of project planning and execution on major (Mega) projects (typically a major project or group of projects having a total installed cost of over $500 million) in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders and is the liaison with the owner on all project matters. Possesses knowledge of the respective industry including Petrochemicals, Refining, LNG, etc. ranging in scope from pre-FEED, FEED to EPC.
Can manage and coordinate domestic as well as international multiple projects, alliances, joint ventures, etc. May supervise one or more Project Managers. Can also direct the proposal effort for these multi-faceted projects. Job role is independently accountable for a large staff or support arm of the organization.
Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 15 years related experience, with average experience of 20
Needs direct job experience in overall engineering oversight of detailed engineering for liquefaction, pretreatment and related infrastructure, offsites and utilities.
Should be familiar with U.S. domestic requirements for LNG work including but not limited to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) guidelines and approval process.
Must have multi-office execution experience
