Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an entry level Infrastructure Engineer I position for recent college graduates to join and expand our Hardware and Infrastructure (HWI) team in our state of the art facility in Aurora, CO.

Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our distinguished team to support development, implementation and deployment of state-of-the-art systems for unique customer missions. These systems will collect, process and disseminate intelligence and other data about specific areas/targets of interest in support of our national defense. Candidates will provide compute, network and storage infrastructure services for complex, high-performance computing environments with both cloud and traditional data center technology foundations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Integrate multiple software and hardware subsystems
  • Implementation of DevOps tools and processes to implement infrastructure services for complex computing systems
  • Utilize private and public cloud platforms for infrastructure services

Required Skills:
  • Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Ability to articulate status and results
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience using MS Office Suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Desire to learn cloud computing and DevOps technologies
Security clearance - This position requires the eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Note: Candidates with a current TS/SCI security clearance or higher are eligible for a $20,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon.


Desired Skills:
  • Experience and understanding of programming concepts and scripting skills using Ruby, Python, and/or PowerShell or related languages
  • Experience with public and private cloud environments and tools – VMware, OpenStack, AWS
  • Experience with Chef Automate or similar DevOps build automation tools (Puppet, Ansible)
  • Exposure to integration of COTS/FOSS software
  • Familiarity with security engineering concepts and practices
  • Exposure to the software development life cycle (agile and waterfall methods)


Required Education:
A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a STEM related field obtained in the last 18 months or by Summer 2019. A GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired. Please include your GPA on your resume and a copy of your current transcript.
