NOTE: This is a temporary position, expected to be approximately 6 months in duration, depending on business needs. This position can be based in either Billerica, MA or Richardson, TX.

The successful candidate will support the Global Business Services IT Engineering Solutions Software Asset Management team and help the organization achieve its goals by meeting our financial requirements. Job duties will include collecting, recording, and tracking software asset data (proof of entitlement, renewals) for software tools used by Engineers across Raytheon. Process end user license change requests. Register software activation keys/codes, execute license transfers and capture corresponding documentation in the asset management database systems and entitlement database. Initiate, update and track purchase requisitions, track purchase orders and post invoices. Provide support to end users with software license related inquires. Assist and support software maintenance renewal and audit activities as required.


Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Create purchase requests in SAP (APEX and PRISM) for all software purchases and renewals
• Works closely with Supply Chain to monitor purchase orders to ensure they are processed in a timely manner
• Works closely with Accounts Payable to ensure invoices are received and tracked to closure
• Works closely with Tool Managers to ensure software licenses are received and provided to Tool Managers and/or end users
• Responsible for creating and updating software asset records and leveraging opportunities in Eracent IT Management Center (ITMC)
• Strong ability to work in a virtual team environment and manages responsibilities to desired results
• Strong knowledge of software asset management compliance
• Able to develop efficient processes for managing software entitlements
• Basic knowledge of the CWA process
• Creates / updates procurement work instructions
• Able to function autonomously with predefined processes
• Provides monthly financial reconciliation support
• Provides audit support as required


Required Skills / Basic Qualifications:

US Citizenship is required.

At least 2 years of experience as follows:
  • Procuring, deploying, reclaiming, and retiring corporate software assets
  • Procurement of technical assets
  • Preparation and delivery of detailed written and verbal reports to coworkers and stakeholders
  • Responding to requests from internal customers under short deadlines, when needed
  • Regular use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills / Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Eracent IT Management Center (ITMC) is a plus.
  • Experience with databases is a plus; SharePoint experience is highly desirable.

Education Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline or combination of experience in Release Management and Software Configuration Management and schooling/certifications.
