The Electronics Subsystems Mechanical Design Department and EW Mechanical Design/Packaging section is seeking a PCB designer to support multiple programs. In this position, you will perform circuit board layouts using CAD software to meet certain performance and program requirements. The primary responsibilities of this position will include, but not limited to:
Interpreting schematic diagrams and utilizing preliminary sketches, diagrams, and other engineering information to generate PCB designs for both RF and digital systems.
Executing the detail design for printed circuit boards and completion of documentation to IPC and department standards using PCB design CAD tool.
Perform independent reviews of the design using provided software tools.
Coordinating with other disciplines affected by design development.
Self-check completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications
Working with the Producibility Engineer to facilitate design reviews as they relate to PCB layout and design for manufacturability.
Incorporating Engineering Change Notices on PCB layouts and drawings.
8 years industry experience as ECAD designer with Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years with Associate’s Degree
Associate degree in drafting or electronics
A team player with a high level of initiative and the ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing priorities.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal and organizational skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
PTC Windchill, Common PDM or equivalent configuration management system
System administration support to help manage CAD software updates
Microsoft Office Tools
Required Education: Associate’s degree in electronic drafting or electrical engineering technology
