ualifications

Essential :

Hons-level scientific, or engineering degree, or substantial relevant project/programme experience.

·

Hold, have held, or eligible to apply for UK based security clearance – ideally NPPV2 or 3.

Desirable:

Project management qualifications.

Proficient with industry-standard PM software, such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

o

Technical writing and presentational skills

Experience working with a range of recognised management methodologies, i.e. agile and change management.

Working within forensics and/or policing community (domain knowledge)

Ability to manage daily project operations in the absence of a project manager

Responsibilities

The Project Management Support Officer will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting management, delivery and internal reporting functions for all aspects of the Standards & Accreditation project.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·

Supporting the Project Manager and Project Lead in external and internal meetings, act on behalf of the Project Manager or Project Lead when necessary

·

Supporting the development of project plans, budgets and associated documentation

·

Data collation and preparation for project reporting across budget, schedule and quality

·

Assist in the monitoring and controlling of project activities, such as schedule reviews, action-tracking, communications management, and document control

·

Responding to queries from key stakeholders

·

Participate in the design of project management processes and budget planning

·

Support delivery the 5 service capabilities, including coordination between the capabilities and Implementation Officers and review of project outputs and deliverables.

·

Having awareness of project and customer requirements to ensure that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet expectations

·

Report on activity to the Project Manager in a timely manner

·

Acting as a local champion for the project and liaison for the Programme by coordinating with key stakeholders and customer representatives, reporting any delays or issues to the programme team

·

To fully engage as a team member, contributing appropriately to all TF activity to ensure that service elements are consistent and coherent across the whole TF programme and to actively seek synergies

·

Note: This will require proactive engagement with expert users in the forensics community to identify requirements and gain broad consensus

Deliverables

Project Management Deliverables, as delegated by the Project Manager/Lead, in support of the project activities and reporting requirements.
