General Dynamics Federal Health Sector is actively seeking a Senior Statistician to help design and conduct statistical analyses in a large, complex health research environment. In this position, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of millions of Americans by working on projects that increase access to care, improve health outcomes and control costs.  The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking for continual growth, can think strategically but operate tactically, and mostly importantly, wants to make a positive difference to the people around them. 

  • Design and implement data processes, using advanced programming in SAS and other programming languages, to manage and analyze large data sources.
  • Conduct descriptive analyses, bivariate and multivariable statistical modeling of large data.
  • Perform rigorous review of all products to ensure quality prior to delivery.
  • Engage in continual innovation to improve quality and efficiency of all deliverables. 
  • Prepare reports, charts, tables, and other visual analytics to assist customers in understanding analytic results.
  • Work individually and collaboratively to accomplish project objectives and tasks.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced statisticians.
  • May communicate directly with customers and partners to facilitate project work.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of related statistical analysis experience.
  • Advanced programming experience in a statistical software package.
  • Experience with advanced statistical modeling, such as generalized linear modeling.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Masters Degree or higher preferred.
