*Job Description: Performs a wide variety of tasks in support of program security. The position will require an individual to receive, review, and process requests for personnel clearances for access. Examines credentials of persons desiring entrance to restricted areas and control program identification cards and records. Arranges visit authorizations for employees and others to gain access to restricted areas. Updates computer databases with security clearance information. Receive and process reports regarding program personnel and protect information on personnel in accordance with the Privacy Act and other applicable Government regulations. Have an understanding of and adherence to NISPOM, DODM 5205.07 Vol. 1-4 and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals in support of Special Program Security. Conduct security indoctrinations, annual refresher briefings, and debriefings of personnel. Participate in security reviews, compare procedures with actual operations, document findings, and recommend corrective action. Safeguards premises to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and other hazards. Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Required Skills:

  • Final in-scope Top Secret clearance with a background investigation performed within the last six years.
  • Must be able to acquire access to Special Programs
  • Experience working in a Special Programs environment
  • Complete understanding of the NISPOM, DODM 5205.07 Vol. 1-4 Manuals
  • Experience with Security systems (JPAS, e-QIP)
  • Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and arrange activities in accomplishing objectives
  • Proficient organizational, communication (written and oral), presentation, and computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Effective administrative skills including record keeping, preparing reports and the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • The candidate must have the eagerness to adapt to and excel in a fast-paced work environment in a variety of program areas
  • Willing to work extended hours
  • Good interpersonal skills and a professional image
  • Ability to display tact, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of Raytheon employees
  • Prior customer service experience
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience working in a Special Programs environment
  • Experience in planning and/or maintaining a sound physical security program. Experience with pertinent security rules and regulations that may affect facility accreditation.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
