Logistics Coordinator - Ammo Supply
Responsible for coordinating the interface between ammunition functions such as ammunition warehousing, transportation, and maintenance duties. Must have an understanding of the establishment's ammunition receiving, issues, supply and storage plans. Troubleshoots problem areas in logistics transport of ammunition and coordinates problems resolution or recommends solutions to management team. Coordinates with customers to ensure desired ammunition logistics objectives, priorities, and all ammunition schedules are met in a timely manner and communicates all ammunition missions to management team. Analyzes work processes and develops metrics for measurement of performance for ammunition hazard division codes. Understands all ammunition hazard division codes in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures. Ensure all functional areas as appropriate in regard to ammunition logistical functions for all safety requirements. Coordinates by verifying daily ammunition compliance policies and procedures against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies, housekeeping, and routing of ammunition to prescribed transport storage locations. Assist with a variety of stock control, receipt, issue, turn in, shipping/building pallets, inventories, and other duties as required for ammunition and ammunition components.Position involves working primarily in an outdoor environment which includes exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in logistic.
Must have or be able to obtain a NIC-I
Must have Ammo Supply experience.
Must have Ammo HAZMAT Certification.
Experience in TMR (Transportation Movement Request) process.
Forklift Certification required.
Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures.
Proper wearing of personal safety equipment
Demonstrable knowledge and background in ammunition and transportation processes
Must be able to lift between 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation.
Must be able to meet short suspense dates.
Must be able to conduct work in the out-of-doors area with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions i.e. extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain and blowing sand and dust.
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of stooping, climbing, standing, and sitting for long periods of uninterrupted time.
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 month of remaining validity.
