This position is for a Principle Financial Analyst, working within the Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality (OSQ) Finance organization. The selected individual will be responsible for overall financial and business management support of the Land Warfare Systems (LWS) product line. This role is a key leadership position within theOSQ Finance team. This role requires the ability to be self-sufficient in supporting the Functional business leaders, while also possessing the ability to act as a team lead, and drive process improvement in terms of information distribution and business management. Business management covers a wide set of requirements, so a successful candidate will need to possess strong leadership skills and financial acumen as well as flexibility in job abilities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities Include:


Team lead for OSQ LWS finance team. This business management role, includes being a key participant in all organizational decisions, streamlined reporting, driving efficiencies, EAC management, analyst training, mentoring and on-boarding and special projects.

Guide the preparation of Program and Functional financial forecasts utilizing detailed analysis of all available budget and cost data, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts. Analyst will use their understanding of business management principles, concepts, practices, and standards coupled with knowledge of industry business management practices to develop solutions for functional performance issues when costs exceed plan

Manage cost accumulation methods for direct labor including discrete charging and allocation pool charging, and manage the accumulation of task specific material and other direct costs

Provide cost reduction ideas and project support plus leadership based on personal expertise and experience

Support EAC reviews, on a quarterly basis, specifically focused on LWS costs, and risks and opportunities.

Travel as necessary to support job functions where off-site work tasks are necessary to support overall RMS Finance and RMS OSQ activities.



Minimum Required Skills:

6 years of experience in a business management or finance role in a company environment with a BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or Economics or related field or 4 year of experience with a related MBA/MS degree

Held one team leadership position in a fast paced environment that included multiple working organizations. This would include team leadership of financial and functional personnel

Experience in an independent role tasked to develop, update, and status financial and performance metrics and analysis driven reports

Experience in understanding the details of cost allocation over bases or amongst organizations or products

Advanced experience in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems and all Microsoft Office tools, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel

Proven track record of customer focus

Require travel up to 20% travel

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance , US Citizen Status is required as this this positon will need a US Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Ability to lead other analysts in a results oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes

The confidence and courage to effectively lead, present, and participate in large and small meetings and status sessions, even when having to provide bad news or disagree with management

Ability to teach, coach and mentor financial analysts currently on team as well as new team members

Analytical skills and the ability to become proficient with main-frame style business systems where vast amounts of data require mining and analysis

Understanding of production or similar schedule driven environment within a profit driven business based on practical experience

Ability to discuss Profit and Loss (P&L) relationships from contracts to cost analysis

Experience in transforming customer requests from data to information

Experience in a factory environment including understanding the technical aspects of Operations management

Strong focus on process improvement and advanced problem solving skills
