Raytheon is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government and cyber security solutions throughout the world. We are looking for a Finance Intern to join our Indianapolis, IN team. The chosen intern will perform budget contract closeouts, estimate at complete information on Department of Defense contracts, develops work breakdown structures; tracks and monitors project costs, sales, and earnings and provides periodic variance analysis and month/year-end close reporting and monitoring.

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of budgeting and variance analysis
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices and procedures (ex. Cost Accounting Standards CAS)
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Analysis/Management (EVA/EVM)
  • Working knowledge of SAP business system
  • Knowledge of Federal/DOD contracts and practices

Required Education (including Major):
Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in the area of Business with a focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration with a desired minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. Please include your GPA and transcript with your resume. You must have Senior status as of Spring 2019.

SA04(AdminStudent–Senior) – must have completed 90 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Senior status as of Spring 2019.
