Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with domain expertise for the Boulder Program area of responsibility. The Senior Principal Systems Engineer will be the technical interface to the customer. The person in this role will also assist with technical reviews; evaluates the work of staff through subordinate levels of supervision; coordinates engineering designs and builds; provides suggestions for all major technical decisions and designs.

This person in this role acts as the product owner, with responsibility for the overall technical solution and meeting all technical requirements on the product. This role participates throughout the development and the support phases of the effort.

Responsibilities and scope also include:
• Support the Business Development Team by providing briefings of products and solutions to the customer, interpreting their requirements and developing solutions
• Communicate and coordinate with the back office to ensure that customer requirements are properly captured
• Oversee the development of the technical solution using mandated processes
• Coordinate closely with the Lead Systems Engineer
• Provide project technical leadership and coordination
• Participate in program readiness and design reviews
• Attend technical and programmatic meetings with customers, system users, development team members and represent the organization in matters pertaining to the project
• Enthusiastic and energetic performer able to work in a fast-paced, highly visible setting working in dynamic environments requiring ability to assess and prioritize tasks, managing time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
• Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with limited oversight

Security Requirement:
Must be a U.S. CITIZEN with an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Required Skills:
• Lifecycle Systems Engineering Experience:
? 8+ years of demonstrated technical and leadership experience in systems engineering, systems integration and test of large system/software development programs requiring the integration of COTS and/or Free and Open Source Software
? Demonstrated deep knowledge of other related disciplines (examples Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering)
? Proven experience as key spokesperson on program’s technical capabilities and future directions
? Experience in the development and review of proposals and Engineering Change Requests including bidding and Basis of Estimate development
? Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the following systems engineering functions:
- Real-time systems interfaces, including C3I systems
- System architecture
- System design
- RESTful interfaces, including pub/sub, XML schema definition, and ICD
• Excellent interpersonal skills; establishing and maintaining working relationships with all levels of customer organizations, customers, users, peer groups, associate contractors, and vendors
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills to customers and/or senior leadership
• Experience in planning, tracking, and the completion of assigned project/program milestones
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
• Ability to the identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk
• Able to travel as needed to support program and business goals

Desired Skills:
• Broad, multi-discipline engineering skills with the ability to work across disciplines at a variety of technical levels with external Customers, program development staff and leadership, and Third-Party Application Developers
• Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation
• Experience developing DoDAF / MoDAF architecture artifacts using System Architect/Rhapsody/MagicDraw or equivalent
• Experience in CONOPS / OPSCON development, especially in workflow related area to this domain
• Experience analyzing and decomposing requirements using DOORS
• Ability to the identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk
• Working knowledge of ICD 503
• Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

Required Education:
10 years with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or related technical degree; or 8 years with a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or related technical degree; or 4 years with a PHD in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related technical degree
