Afloat and Ashore Network Engineer (Jr. Level) (Bahrain) (Job Number:441748)
SAIC has a contingent opportunity for a junior level Afloat and Ashore Network Engineer. This position is contingent upon contract award.
The junior level Afloat and Ashore Network Engineer will provide Afloat network engineering support to Carrier Strike Group (CSG), Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) Staff N6s and/or Command Ships.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s Degree in Network Services and Computing. Associate’s degree may be substituted with two (2) years of Tier II/III maintenance experience with Navy ship to shore networks or relevant DoD network architectures.
Working knowledge of Navy Network Operations Centers (NOCs) and/or Maritime Operations Centers (MOC) or equivalent DoD network operation centers.
Deployable to support Navy operational requirements, exercise support and other projects to meet the needs of the Navy.
Navy/Joint C2-COP: GCCS-M, NTCSS, JTIDS, LINK, TDL, TBMCS, CDLMS
CANES, CENTRIXS, ISNS, ADNS, SCI, VOIP, NGEN
Radiant Mercury, HBSS, VRAM, WSUS, VSE
Battlespace Awareness and Information Systems:
SSEE, DCGS-N, ICOP
Shore and Expeditionary C4I Center Services:
NCTAMS, NOC, MOC
Desired Skillsets (not all inclusive):
Two (2) years of direct experience with Tier II/III maintenance of Navy Consolidated Afloat Networks Enterprise Services (CANES) or Navy Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS)
Two (2) years of direct experience with Tier II/III maintenance of Navy ONE NET
Working knowledge with wireless network administration
Working knowledge with Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS)
Working knowledge with Voice Over IP (VoIP) technologies
Working knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
Working knowledge of CISCO Adaptive Security Appliance
Working knowledge of CISCO Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) administration
Interim SECRET eligible.
