Position Description:

This position is in support of the Department of State as a part of the Vanguard 2.2.1 contract. A current TS security clearance is required for consideration. The candidate will lead a diverse team of system engineers responsible for the network engineering for IT projects. The candidate will manage the research, analysis, evaluation and integration of new and emerging technologies in order to find ways to deliver a superior IT environment to the bureaus in a cost effective and secure manner. The candidate will support the continuing goal of incorporating these innovative technologies into the Department’s equipment modernization program. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, someone who can work independently, and will be flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Description of Duties:

- Manage a group of ~60 personnel

- Responsible for Perimeter Security and Network Management and Design, including Engineering and Architecture

- Work with customers to determine their functional needs

- Act as the technical team lead for integration projects

- Assist in the development of Enterprise policies and directives

- Conduct Technical Exchange Meetings

- Communicate regularly to government POCs regarding project activities and status

- Financial account management and oversight

Required Education/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree with 18+ years recent related systems integration and design experience.

- Additional training and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:

- Experience leading a large network team on multiple and diverse integration projects

- Excellent communications and customer management skills

- Strong ability to multi-task and work independently

- Experience leading system integration projects as the technical lead

- Experience architecting, designing, and implementing IT solutions

- Experience working with customers to capture/document requirements

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:

- ITIL Foundations v3

- Network technology experience (Palo Alto, Cisco, F5, etc)

- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

- TOP SECRET (Active)
