Raytheon IIS is seeking a skilled Field Engineer who has experience installing hardware into rack enclosures as well as maintaining and modifying them as needed. Must have experience working with cable runs of different types and installing same to include cable termination and installation. A combination of logistics experience and technical skills are a must for this position. Less than 10% OCONUS travel.
Experience with the below, but are not limited to:
Installing newly acquired hardware into rack enclosures;
Running, terminating and connecting CAT5 / Fiber infrastructure cables;
Pack-out support to include, but not limited to:
Retrieving and collocating all equipment per TDY requirements;
Packing and loading all equipment/racks per Raytheon/customer logistics requirements;
Supporting acceptance testing efforts once integration is complete; verifying cable connections, optical power levels, etc.
Decommissioning obsolete/retired/faulty equipment from existing infrastructure;
Assisting with the resolution of all discrepancy reports (DRs) for the various systems/sub-systems;
Provide customer teams with active feedback with regards to installation best practices and tool choices;
Current TS/SCI with polygraph.
Real world System Engineering experience
Understanding power, cooling and space planning
Signal Processing experience
Required: High school graduate or A.A. degree.
