The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.
This position entails performing a wide range of activities including, production support, supplier collaboration to resolve hardware non-conformances and/or product sustainment, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification. Integration and test of Electronic Analog & Digital components and modules at the Circuit Card and System levels as well as completing and reviewing paperwork to ensure all items are accounted for before project closure. The candidate should be able to arrive at creative solutions to test issues in support of test technicians. They should have good verbal and written communication skills. They should be able to work independently. A broad base knowledge of EOIR systems, electronic parts (simple resistors to complex digital devices) is preferred. Ability to use and understand bench test equipment and Automated Test Equipment is desirable.

Required Skills:

  • 4 years minimum of experience in an electronic test environment
  • Hands on lab experience in analog, and/or digital electronics
  • Working knowledge of electronic components (discrete and microcircuit)
  • Knowledge and use of bench test equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to handle multiple concurrent projects
  • Able to troubleshoot EOIR systems independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products and proficient computer skills
  • Active Secret-Current clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Basic fabrication skill set – soldering, board layout, test fixture design, development, build

Required Education: Associates Degree
