Job Description:

The Raytheon SAS Hardware Electronics Center (HWEC) Test Automation Department is responsible for the design, development, deployment, and on-going factory support of test equipment supporting a wide range of products including Airborne Radar Programs, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS) and Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) customers.

Our Forest Mississippi Test Automation section is currently seeking an experienced, qualified test engineer to join our team. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be the development of test hardware solutions to exercise and analyze deliverable product. Hardware responsibilities include conceptual and detailed design of test positions, test adapters, circuit cards, and cables. Other responsibilities will include the development and integration of test software. The candidate must be able to support inception-to-sunset life cycle efforts including proposal generation, conceptual modeling, design, build support, integration, and sell-off activities.
The candidate must be a self-starter and willing to take ownership of assignments. The candidate must also be able to prioritize actions and effectively communicate when assistance is required.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in test engineering, software development, or a Master’s degree
  • Experience using RF lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, etc…
  • Experience designing circuit boards, test adapters, cables, etc.
  • Experience with NI development suite (LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, TestStand)
  • Experience with C++ or C# software language
  • Familiarity with electrical design tools such as Mentor Graphics, Orcad, PSPICE
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with the integration of test hardware and test software
  • Applicable course work: RF and Microwave Theory, Electomagnetics II, Antennas
  • Familarity with RF design tools such as ADS or HFSS (Electronic Desktop)
  • Proven to work well in a teaming environment
  • Possess process discipline, order, and attention to detail

Required Education: B.S. degree in Electring Engineering (or other related engineering degree, i.e. Computer Engineering)

Desired Education: Master’s degree in Electring Engineering 127392
