Analysis, design, integration and test for the Aegis Display System computer program related requirements within the Aegis Weapon System. Work may span Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)-based programs as well as non-COTS based programs, so flexibility to work across different computing environments is required. Tasking will include development of mission critical software & hardware requirements. The candidate will be responsible for development of requirements using SysML diagrams and constructs. The candidate will be responsible for completion of ADS related tasks to meet cost and schedule. Responsibilities will also include interfacing with the customer in performing test and evaluation activities; interfacing with internal software teams to isolate and fix issues as they arise for various functional areas; and supporting the various testing groups; support waterfront installation and testing in-port or at-sea. May be required to travel to support waterfront test activities in Japan, Korea, Spain, Norway, Australia, and domestically in the continental US and Hawaii.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent. Ability to perform data analysis and code inspection in Java and/or C++ in order to troubleshoot element and system level issues. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated accomplishments and career growth in the area of systems engineering processes with particular emphasis on top-down design starting from high level system requirements through the allocation of system components to computer programs. Experience in developing requirements/test procedures for and performing integration testing on subsystems. Experience in the design of real-time software applications and systems models using SysML diagrams and constructs within a SysML tool suite (Rhapsody experience preferred). Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating environments with proficiency in Java, C, C++ and next generation computer coding languages, object-oriented programming, XML, SQL and other database structures Familiarity with Oracle and Firebird databases Knowledgeable in RedHawk 5.1 Linux. Familiarity with DOORS database. Familiar with Matlab. Candidate should be capable of working in a fast paced environment, supporting multiple projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skill is required
