We are looking for a Sr. Industrial Engineer to join our team!
The Sr. Industrial Engineer will be responsible for all Industrial Engineering / Lean execution supporting the current Raytheon ELCAN Production Systems Strategic Plan. This position will continue to develop and execute the above Production System Strategic Plan through sponsorship from the Operations Manager and Operations Director. This position may grow in the future to have 2-4 direct/dotted reports performing in other industrial engineering capacities. The key function of this position is to tactically implement a Continuous Improvement mindset and Production System strategy where factory processes are continually tweaked for the purpose of on-time, every time, at the highest quality, for the lowest cost, in the safest manor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Focused on eliminating wasteful procedures and cost reduction programs
The company uses complex manufacturing procedures for its optical device technology and therefore knowledge of sophisticated manufacturing processes is important
Execution of a Raytheon ELCAN Production System strategy while focusing on a Value of our people and continuous improvement approach.
Support the REPS (Raytheon ELCAN People System) KPI management system deployment. Drive reporting and understanding of appropriate Tier level KPI’s.
This individual will be focused on minimizing the cycle time of the manufacturing process while at all times maintaining the highest quality standards
Must take a hands-on approach to the position and be extremely results-oriented
Use Value Stream Mapping to support strategic decision making and prioritized problem solving of Product line constraints
Responsible to coordinate and professionally execute stakeholder management technics to ensure onboarding and alignment of all improvement initiatives.
Capability to support flexible work requirements which include but are not limited to; communication from offsite, new improvement launch schedules during non-regular operating hours and travel.
Will lead the improvement of our TEE program to ensure Raytheon ELCAN achieves fast response communication feedback to all employees.
Reports to the Operations Manager
Technical Requirements we are looking for:
A background in Industrial Engineering, capital equipment justification programs and plant/personnel utilization is required. Work balance and capacity modeling experience is additionally required
? 3 yrs. As a Lean / Production Systems practitioner with ability to demonstrate and validate experience. Experience needs to cover the following KPI’s: People, Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost.
Lean or Six Sigma certifications that can include but not limited to GEMBA academy certification, external accreditation and Raytheon Six Sigma specialist.
Searching for an assertive individual who has polished interpersonal and management skills
Degree or Diploma in technical or business field
Working knowledge of multi-discipline fields of maintenance, plant engineering and manufacturing
Well versed in all maintenance processes and environmental, health and safety regulations
Experience in self-directed work teams or autonomous maintenance preferred
Aptitude and experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, budgeting along with project and business plan development and management.
Skills: Balance of technical, maintenance, human relations, and conceptual skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to act as both a strategic and tactical leader. Able to evaluate alternatives, establish priorities, and formulate decisions that affect all aspects of the operation. Able to establish clear support for long term best practice behaviors while recognizing the short term need to bring others with you on the vision of a highly reliable operation.
Management Skills: Able to hire, plan, listen, organize, set department objectives, interpret, provide work direction, coach, counsel, train and conduct performance reviews. Ability to influence others indirectly, team members, peers and support resources. A leader by behavior and action. Strong business acumen with the ability to see larger business objective and translate into functional strategies and tactics.
