The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for the Office of Space Launch. The program’s two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and processing facilities operations and maintenance. The program is cost-plus and valued at >$70M/yr and over > 370 personnel. The deputy role is accountable for the continued exceptional program performance and improved on-contract growth to ensure the Customers visions and goals are met. There is a strong focus as part of this deputy role is to have continuous effective executive customer interactions and be responsible for managing key relationships with all PLSSS program stakeholders. The role is co-located with the Government Program Manager and PLSSS Contracting Officer Technical Representative at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida to ensure regular communication and partnership in program execution. Candidates must possess strong business, communications, systems integration and technical management skills. Travel will be required (approximately 25% equating to approximately 1 week monthly).

The applicant selected must be a US citizen and must
possess and maintain eligibility requirements for an elevated clearance for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated program and contract management experience with the following:
-- Cost, technical and Schedule Management Experience
-- Profit and loss responsibility for a program with at least $70M in annual sales
-- Experience leading technical SMEs to meet demanding customer objectives and timelines
-- Experience coordinating multiple simultaneous projects with various levels of maturity
-- Demonstrated ability to manage teammates and employees in multiple geographic locations
• Satellite/booster integration and launch processing experience
• Experience in the lifecycle development of ground support equipment
• Demonstrated experience in generating new business and organic program growth, with emphasis on the launch processing, facility operations and maintenance & range business area
• Strong customer management skills, demonstrated experience in a customer interactive intensive environment, demonstrated understanding of government acquisition processes.
• Demonstrated experience and technical strength in large program(s) integration environment

• Extensive professional LM network for corporate reach back capabilities.
• Experience in managing small to medium size programs with diverse backgrounds and skills
