Contracts Negotiator, Staff to lead Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) production efforts.
Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day to day contract administration to support successful delivery of the LCS 15-29 ships. Efforts include routine administrative contract actions, including contractual management of ship delivery process, incentive-price redetermination, shipbuilding payments process, requests for equitable adjustment, contractual guidance to address changes and mitigate risk, support of internal and external program reviews, and proposal/negotiation support as necessary.
The candidate will need to demonstrate leadership qualities to effectively coordinate with internal Lockheed Martin program, technical, sourcing, and business management teams to support resolution of emergent contract issues, as well as maintain a strong working relationship with NAVSEA and SUPSHIP Bath contracting officers. The candidate will also assume responsibility for leading junior contracts negotiators to support program objectives. Candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, and the position may require periodic travel to Marinette Marine in support of program reviews and events, as well as to various Navy customer locations.
Experienced Contracts Professional, with experience with various U.S. Government contracting commands. FAR / DFARS knowledge. Excellent communication and customer skills Demonstrated problem-solving experience and ability to work under tight-deadlines and pressure. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with functional and program counterparts to drive business results. Microsoft Office and ECE knowledge
Contracting experience with U.S. Navy / NAVSEA.
Experience with major system acquisitions.
