DESCRIPTION:

Raytheon is seeking a talented and passionate Agile Coach to join our DevOps Transformation team. As an Agile coach, you will be responsible for supporting our team and programs in their journey to adopt DevOps and Agile methodologies as a new way of working. Our team and programs will look to you as a strategic partner and thought leader as they transition to agile delivery methodologies as a means to innovate and deliver breakthrough experiences on behalf of their end users.
The Agile Coach will provide hands-on coaching, guidance, and support to all members of Dojo teams, primarily in the development of high-quality products using agile mindsets, methods, practices and tools. They will deliver tangible solutions using lean principles, iterative agile development, multi-functional teams and lightweight development concepts. You will focus on leveraging Product Discovery, Agile Extreme Programing, Scrum, and Kanban techniques to facilitate learning. The role of an Agile Coach will be to apply agile methods to assemble and deliver user-friendly solutions for our programs and customers. To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience handling end to end delivery with specific experience in managing projects that use automation, open source cloud technologies and, crucially, will have practical agile development and coaching experience. You will gain experience across multiple technologies and applications and directly impact the agile process and DevOps transformation across Raytheon and embark on a continuous successful agile transformation effort.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Establish collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and Dojo members to help them in their journey of adopting Agile methodology
· Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Agile development methods and processes
· Provide coaching and training at the program and team levels in an emerging Agile environment.

· Perform in various agile roles, including Scrum Master, where needed. i.e. plan, coordinate and facilitate scrum ceremonies, retrospectives, long-range planning, user stories, dashboard
· Coach management in Agile & Lean practices to enable them to be effective Agile Champions
· Assess the current organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Agile practices tailored to the program and customer
· Perform in various agile roles, including Scrum Master, where needed. i.e. plan, coordinate and facilitate scrum ceremonies, retrospectives, long-range planning, user stories, dashboard
· Capture metrics to monitor/enhance teams performance and agile maturity level
· Drive the required cultural transformation in adopting the new way of working i.e. DevOps culture and agile development methodologies
· Participate and contribute actively to continuously evolve processes to align to enterprise agile transformation strategy
· Provide expertize in visualization of flow of work, controlling Work in Progress (WIP), managing queue sizes and batch optimization of work


REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Ability to obtain and maintain a US TS/SCI Security Clearance and US Citizenship required.
· Minimum of 10+ years of delivery lead experience with hands-on experience in delivering agile projects (planning, execution and team management)
· Minimum of 10+ years of large-scale agile transformation and delivery
· Highly proficient in Agile practices and able to clearly coach teams and programs at varying maturity levels
· Demonstrable experience in managing Digital development/Experience Design projects/implementation and integration projects, from inception through to delivery on a large scale
· Experience working with the team and product owner to define a value and user-driven roadmap for the product and translate this into actionable user stories and sprint plans.

· Any Expert-level Agile certification(s) - PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or other Agile related certifications a plus.
· Successful track record of delivery using an iterative/agile methodology (e.g. SAFe/LeSS/SCRUM/XP)
· Experience using any agile development management tools
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent problem solving and influencing skills


DESIRED SKILLS:
· Profound understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum & Kanban & scaled agile principles and practices
· Demonstrate expertise in influencing organizational change
· Experience in agile methods such as Agile testing, Agile development, XP practices and Agile architecture

· Experience using Jira and the Atlassian Suite
· Hands on experience scaling Lean/Agile practices, preferred Scaled Agile Framework experience
· Experience in creating/enhancing training materials and deliver training


REQUIRED EDUCATIION (including Major):
· Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years related work experience required, but Technical Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering preferred.
