Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager supporting our Patriot Systems European Programs and Captures. This position has a high degree of responsibility in a rapidly growing and complex domestic and international business environment. The individual in this role will be responsible for Contracts leadership for the European Programs portfolio which includes production, development and sustainment contracts and international captures. This individual should possess experience with Department of Defense (DoD) Contracting including Foreign Military Sales (FMS), leading a team/talent development, developing negotiation strategies, intellectual property and have an understanding of the ITAR. The individual will be responsible for providing leadership to a team with various levels of contracting experience. The ideal candidate will have contracts, program management and leadership skills including:

  • Providing strategic thought leadership to develop innovative contracts solutions which will result in achieving program and business area objectives.
  • Engaging in strategic assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiations and contract management.
  • Developing strategies for business pursuits.
  • Leading a team of broadly skilled professionals.
  • Ensuring successful governance/compliance of the function.
  • Taking ownership of tough issues and using knowledge of situational dynamics to establish personal engagement strategy.
  • Shaping opinions of key stakeholders; negotiating skillfully to create the best outcome possible.
  • Balancing competing priorities of constituencies as compared to business needs and using astute judgment as to when to seek executive level direction on how to move forward.

This position will be located in Andover, MA and will report to the Director of Contracts, Patriot Systems Programs and Captures.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Basic/Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Contract management experience or related business discipline
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 15% the time
  • Experience managing FMS Contracts
  • Experience in contracts “common body-of knowledge” (i.e, FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, TINA, Contract Types, IP licensing, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance within a year of employment


Desired Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Law, or another related field.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and have an understanding of the ITAR
  • Strategic thought leader with proven ability to create a vision and strategy for programs
  • Uses creativity, innovation, initiative, speed and agility for advantage
  • NMCA Certification (CPCM or CFCM)
  • Extensive business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions with respect to cost management, earned value, funding management, reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Extensive negotiations experience
  • Ability to multitask and manage work load to meet deliverables on time and accurately
  • Excellent analytical and solutions development skills
